Serious Security Flaw in Internet Explorer

16 December 2008

You may have already heard via the national media that Microsoft have released information of a new security vulnerability for their Internet Explorer browser. Visitors to an infected website may have their personal information compromised .

The flaw in Microsoft's Internet Explorer could allow criminals to take control of people's computers and steal their passwords, internet experts say.

We encourage customers to use an alternative website browser, such as Mozilla Firefox in the meantime or to be cautious on which websites to visit. As always, it is also worth making sure you have up to date antivirus and firewall software.

Further information and updates can be found on the Microsoft website.
