Skater boys get £20,000 new park!

Villagers finally got to road test the new Edington skate park at the official opening ceremony. On hand to open the park was Ian Chorley from St Albans who donated £2,000 anonymously after praising the youngsters' fund raising efforts in August. Over £20,000 has been raised in 8 months. After a BMX display by villager Matt Hurley youngsters and fund raisers were treated to a free buffet at The Lamb Inn. Five teen skaters originally presented a proposal for a park in March and donations have come from district and county councils and local businesses.
