The local wildlife club for young people
Wiltshire Wildlife Watch is the junior branch of the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust
Wiltshire Wildlife Watch is a club for young people who want to find out more about
wildlife and conservation, make friends and have lots of fun.
Anyone can join - young people and the young at heart.
Watch clubs meet once a month
throughout Wiltshire. The Wiltshire Wildlife Trust will send you details of your nearest
club.
Here are some of the activities that Wildlife Watchers get involved in:
- Building a wildlife pond
- Tree planting
- Looking out for pollution in rivers and
streams
- Exploring wild places to look for wildlife
- Making nest boxes and bird tables
- Watching badgers, foxes and bats
- Pond dipping and minibeast safaris
- Fossil hunting
- Visiting special wildlife places
- Meeting people who help wildlife
- Playing environmental games
- And lots more!
When
you join Wiltshire Wildlife Watch you receive:
A Wildlife Watch badge and membership card.
Watchword, a colourful wildlife magazine that comes out three times a year. It's full of
wildlife facts, stories, cartoons, competitions and activities.
Wiltshire Wildlife Watch, your own club magazine, three times a year. Keep up to date on
local wildlife news, events, and tips on wildlife watching.
A wildlife poster
A project pack full of wildlife activities
Details of the Wildlife Watch Gold Award Scheme.
To join, fill in the form and we will send you a full
application form by post. Costs are; £6.50 per member, or £10 for up to four
children living at the same address.
Children: Please ask a parent or guardian to complete and sign your application form when
it arrives.
